Getting started

A mini app is code you ship and Shoppingate hosts. You keep your backend; we handle discovery, identity, payments, and the runtime shell. Six steps to your first listing, plus one repeating loop for every update after that.

Sign the commercial agreements

Terms of service, commercial details, and data-processing paperwork are the first step. Your account manager sends the pack; e-signature closes it.

Create a merchant account

Head to shoppinggate.app/grow and open the Sell on E-comm section. Submit the basic company details — legal name, commercial-registration number, and contact — and our team reviews the application. Once approved you'll get login access to the merchant portal, the same console every Shoppingate merchant uses; mini-app vendors are a role on top of the merchant record.

Become a Mini App Vendor

A fresh merchant account is a regular Shoppingate merchant — no mini-app permissions yet. Sign in to merchant.shoppinggate.app, open the Become a Mini App Vendor action, review the mini-app-specific terms, and accept. This unlocks the mini-app vendor role and is a prerequisite for everything that follows — without it, sign-up on the developer portal is blocked.

Create an account on the Beta Developer Portal

Every mini app starts on the beta portal — same tools as the live console, pointed at the test super app so nothing you push reaches real customers. Sign up at beta-developers.shoppinggate.app using the same email your organization submitted in step 2 — matching it keeps the merchant record and developer identity linked. In the Account field, enter your organization name.
Only the organization admin signs up. Teammates do not create their own accounts — the admin invites them from inside the portal once signed in. Same rule on the live portal in step 6.

Download SG Studio

SG Studio is the desktop IDE for building the mini-app package — code editor, simulator, and one-click upload. Ships with the SG SDK preconfigured.

Point Studio at the beta server on first run. In the login dialog, click Server Configuration and paste beta-developers.shoppinggate.app — without this the login screen will not accept your beta portal credentials.

Push the mini app for review — beta, then live

On beta: in Studio, hit Upload. The package uploads to the beta portal; you install it into the test super app and run the full customer flow against real payment sandboxes. Iterate here until you're satisfied.

Going live is a separate sign-up. Once your beta build is ready, create a new admin account on the live developer portal at developers.shoppinggate.app — same sign-up shape as step 4 (org admin only, same organization email, organization name in the Account field). Upload the approved mini-app package there, and our team runs security, UX, and payments checks before publishing it to the live super app on the next release.

Mini-app updates — a loop, not a step

After you're live, updates skip the onboarding entirely. Bump the version in SG Studio, hit Upload to push the new build to beta, verify it against the test super app, then upload the approved package to the live developer portal for review. Every release you ship after the first repeats this same three-move loop.
